Our Team

Dr. Joseph "Jody" Bondurant

DVM

Dr. Jody grew up in Sicily Island, LA, but went to DeRidder High School (’96) when his dad was serving in the army and stationed at Ft. Polk, LA. He is a 2000 graduate of the University of Louisiana-Monroe (NLU) and a 2004 graduate of LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jody has interests in small animal dermatology, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.

He is active in the community coaching various sports for his kids and their friends. He was appointed by the governor and he served a 5 year appointment on the Louisiana State Board of Veterinary Medicine ending in 2023. In his off time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping. He has 1 son, Adam, and 2 daughters, Anna, and Aimee. He also has 3 dogs: Orea, Prissy, and GG…. and 1 cat: Kevin-Leo.

Dr. Randy Toney

DVM

Dr. Toney is a 1989 graduate of LSU. He has a multitude of experience, ranging from emergency and critical care, to equine breeding management. His interests include general small animal surgery and critical care. Dr. Toney is from Mt. Hermon, LA.

Hallie

Practice Manager

Hallie is the dedicated practice manager at Hammond Veterinary Services, where she has been a part of the team for 13 years. Starting her journey as a veterinary assistant shortly after graduating high school in 2011, Hallie has experienced every role within the clinic, giving her a unique perspective and deep understanding of the veterinary field.

 

Her leadership style is rooted in empathy and support, allowing her to foster both professional growth and personal connections among her staff. Hallie believes in creating a positive work environment, where kindness and friendship flourish, especially during challenging days. The relationships she has built with colleagues, clients, and patients are a testament to her commitment to the HVS family.

Kelsey Harris

Kelsey is a passionate Veterinary Assistant at HVS, where she has been dedicated to providing exceptional care since 2020. After moving to the Hammond area in 2015 to pursue her education, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2019. Kelsey enjoys building lasting relationships with clients and loves spoiling the pets that visit the clinic.

 

At HVS, Kelsey can often be found at the reception desk or assisting veterinarians during appointments. She is eager to further develop her skills and take on leadership and management roles within the clinic.

 

In her personal life, Kelsey is a proud pet parent to a dog named Camille and two cats, Queso and Gypsy. Additionally, she holds a minor in Chemistry, reflecting her diverse academic interests.

Casie Cambetta

Casie is a dedicated veterinary professional with over five years of experience, currently thriving as a surgery technician at HVS, where she has worked for nearly two years. Passionate about animal care, Casie is on the verge of graduating with her Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credentials, an achievement that reflects her commitment to the profession.

 

Originally from Texas- Casie’s love for animals is evident not only in her work but also in her personal life, as she shares her home with five beloved pets: two cats, two dogs, and one horse. Casie’s enthusiasm for veterinary medicine and her hands-on experience makes her a valuable asset to her team and the animals she cares for.

Caitlyn Raiford

Caitlyn has been a part of the HVS team since 2014, driven by her lifelong passion for working with animals. Grateful for the opportunity to turn her passion into a rewarding career, she can typically be found assisting veterinarians during appointments and in the treatment area, or at the reception desk. Over her years at HVS, Caitlyn has gained valuable experience in various positions within the clinic.

 

Outside of work, Caitlyn is a dedicated fiancée and mother of three. She also runs a Labrador retriever breeding business, showcasing her commitment to the breed. With a household that includes four dogs, one cat, and one horse, Caitlyn’s love for animals is evident both personally and professionally.
